The HobbyWing QuicRun WP 8BL150 G2 is a tough, high-performance waterproof brushless ESC made for 1/8th scale RC trucks and monster trucks, delivering 150A continuous and up to 950A peak current. It runs smoothly on 3S to 6S LiPo packs and works with motors up to 4274 size (KV ≤ 3000 on 4S, KV ≤ 2400 on 6S), in both sensorless and sensored modes (sensorless operation only). Thanks to HobbyWing’s innovative intelligent freewheeling technology, it runs cooler and more efficiently than the previous model, with noticeably lower operating temperatures and improved long-term reliability—perfect for hard bashing sessions in tough conditions.
Protection and durability are top-notch: the ESC is fully IP67-rated for splash, water, and dust resistance (though not meant for long submersion), and features a rugged electronic switch that’s waterproof, dustproof, and impact-resistant—lasting over 50,000 cycles with no corrosion or accidental shutdowns, a huge upgrade over old mechanical switches. A massive 2040µF built-in capacitor eliminates the need for external caps, and a smart capacitor overheating protection prevents damage from overload. Cooling is handled by a patented copper heat conduction bus bar that quickly pulls heat to the aluminum heatsink, paired with a built-in 30mm fan powered by the upgraded BEC—now adjustable between 6V and 7.4V with 6A continuous and 12A max output, easily supporting high-voltage servos.
Compact at 60 × 48 × 40.4mm and weighing just 169.5g with pre-tinned 10AWG wires and 6.5mm gold bullet connectors, the WP 8BL150 G2 is easy to install and built to last.
